1970 Piper Cherokee 180

I got to fly a plane!! And NO – it wasn’t a simulator or a RC model, and I didn’t crash it! Tongue out

It was a 1970~ Piper Cherokee 180 single engine, under wing, four passenger plane. A friend (who just so happens to be a LU flight student) took up for a ride Saturday. After we were airborne, he told me to take her for a spin.

At first I was pretty scared – this was my first time flying in a small aircraft – but I grabbed the wheel and pushed the rudder… miracles of miracles we stayed in the air and banked a bit. Laughing

Luckily for all abroad as well as for all living beings on the ground – my friend landed the plane. Wink

A stock web photo of the plane Josh flew. Not the actually plane.

Warning: This is not the actually plane I flew… This is just a similar make and model of the one I flew.

Ruthy wants to know where Aunt Emily was.
My opinion – wow and who let you do that?

Aunt Emily was standing in the yard waving to her wonderful husband as he buzzed the house. =)

Let’s say it was a crazy LU student from Tyler Halls. (can’t let all my secrets out). ;-)
